My English e-portfolio page is a presentation of the work I have written in my Intermediate Writing class. I chose the topic of resolutions/ self improvement. My writing pieces are examples of the different writing styles using this topic. The first file is the one I submitted to the class. Then I reviewed the peer and teacher comments on the writing and reflected on what I needed to change. The second file is my revised version. Finally, I have included my reflection on the assignment.
This is a reflection of my English 2010 Final Portfolio. It discusses why I have chose these assignments to present and how these assignments have helped me develop my writing skills.

This assignment is a multimodal profile piece on self improvement.
Based on the suggestions of my peer and teacher reviews I decided to rewrite my opening paragraph to make it a bit more clearer. I also adjusted the format of the names of my interviewees to be closer to their interviews. I included a short summary of each of the video interviews and then added in a final paragraph to bring the information all together. I also adjusted the font, banner, and image to create less white space and customize the pages appearance.
This assignment is my review of the documentary Fat,Sick, & Nearly Dead.

Based on the suggestions of my peer and teacher reviews I decided to reduce my wording on my slides and add bullet points to make it easier to read. I also tried to include more of my opinions so it was more of a review and less of a summary. I reworded some of my paragraphs so they were easier to understand. I felt like these suggestions made my review better.

My reflection of this assignment is that it was my favorite writing piece for this class. I enjoyed making it into a power point presentation. Using multimedia was a nice change from the usual report style writing. I found the documentary very interesting and motivational so it was a great to express that in my review. I had never written a review before and I had a hard time making it opinionated. While writing the review I kept summarizing the documentary instead of making it my feelings on the movie. For my revised version I tried to include the information about the movie and my feelings about it as well. I felt like the peer and teacher reviews of this assignment allowed me to think more about my audience. I took those suggestions and made the writing a more polished piece that is easier to read and understand.
This assignment is a report and a one page brief on Resolutions.

Based on the suggestions of my peer and teacher reviews I decided to move my charts and graphs from the end of the report to where they relate in the report. I also decided to change the wording of the bullets in my brief. I edited my last paragraph so it would make more sense and be easier for the audience to understand my conclusion. I changed some of my wording and edited some of my grammar errors to make it a better writing piece.

My reflection of this assignment is that it was interesting to write. I really had to explore the topic of resolutions to find the best way to report on such a broad topic. I learned so much information on resolutions and self improvement by doing this report. I didn't have any idea when New Year's resolutions became tradition and how the tradition originated. I knew that most people, including myself, have a very difficult time keeping resolutions but it was great to read some expert ideas on the best ways to be able to maintain goals. My only trouble with this assignment was creating the data charts. I took resolution data and created it into pie charts. I was struggling to create the pie chart exactly the way I wanted it, to get the pie chart lined up right with the words, and to find the best spot in the report to place the pie chart. With my revised report I was able to get the charts in the appropriate places and edit the assignment so the information was clearer.
