This is my term paper for Microeconomics. I choose to do the topic Natural gas development in the United States.
Reflective Writing:
I found this assignment difficult to write. I could mostly understand the economics of the U.S. natural gas development but I had a hard time describing it and explaining the process. With the research I did, I was able to find some great information that helped me to understand it better, enough to be able to explain it in my paper. I learned a lot about the process of drilling and refining the natural gas before it gets to the consumers. I feel like I can now better understand the price increases and decreases that occur in the cost of heating my house. After reading several expert opinions I tend to lean somewhere in the middle of the debate of whether or not natural gas is scarce resource. I think that we have the natural gas that we need right now and in our immediate future. I think that there is more natural gas in the united States than what would classify it as a scarce resource or that it will be a scarce resource soon. I also think that it is important to conserve all of the Earth's resources including natural gas. We should be conscious of how we are using natural gas and what we can do in the future to use less.
